30 weeks 3 days

We went in for our last planned ultrasound of our pregnancy yesterday, July 2nd. It was supposed to be a big 4D ultrasound with lots of great pictures, but our sweet little Holden decided to be a little stubborn again and hide his face in my hip bone. :) We did happen to get a few okay shots...check out those CHEEKS!!! He weighs approximately 3 lbs. 6 oz. and I do believe a pound of that has got to be cheeks!
He is already head down, and the ultrasound tech said it was very likely he'll remain that way for the rest of my pregnancy. His head seems quite comfy resting by my right hip. I am feeling less sporadic kicking movements these days and more rolling and light kicks/punches. Holden's probably getting a little crammed already.
His measurements were healthy and great. He's still measuring a little ahead, but I think it's just because we have a healthy, chunky little baby.
I was put on a Z-pack (antibiotics) due to failing a preterm labor swab test. Guess my immune system is a little run down....I had that annoying cough for about a week, so I bet working a lot of hours has contributed to all of the immune system problems. Other than that, everything was perfect! I will see Dr. Perales on Tuesday, and I'm sure everything is great!
59 days til we meet!

**J**U**L**Y**

Happy JULY everyone!!

July has always always always been my favorite month! The 4th of July is my FAVORITE holiday, fireworks mesmerize me even as an adult, the weather is oh so nice and hot, the days are long, sunsets are gorgeous, watermelons and patriotic cakes abound, people fly their flags, flowers are in bloom, little girls wear adorable, huge, red, white and blue bows....and my bday is in July. ;) I think I could use three Julys (Julies?) a year. Really! Just turning the calendar to this month makes me SMILE!

Today is the first, and this July 1st is extra special: We get to meet our little Holden in two months---at the most---since we are inducing on September 1st!! The real countdown begins.

I hope that everyone enjoys their 4th of July weekend! We're going to go to San Angelo to hang out with the Shields on Sunday. FUN FUN! Be safe and enjoy BBQs, colorful night skies and friendship!

Maternity Photos by Shuffield Photography

The rest of our maternity photos!

Check them out at http://tisha.squarespace.com/blog/2010/6/29/sarah-maternity.html?lastPage=true#comment8839491!

Almost 10 years ago I met the Shuffield family in Brady, TX. I know there are a few people God has put into my life that I will forever be grateful for, and the Shuffields are certainly on top of that list. Tisha, Jimmy Jim, Garrett and Riley quickly became like family to me. I guess there are no words for how much they've helped me. In a short synapses, they became my FAMILY; they are the reason I was able to get into Texas Tech University and attend school for four years there, they have encouraged me, taught me, lifted me up (even when I didn't deserve it!), listened to me, forgiven me, been there for me and basically done everything else they could do for me.

Now, they have been the ones to document our pregnancy journey through their amazing photography skills. Can I say I'm BLESSED?! Chet and I do NOT make easy models to work with, yet they still made our shoot so fun.

Check out their work! You won't be disappointed. You'll be in awe!

We love you guys and can't wait for you to meet Holden! Maybe he'll be blessed enough to learn some things from Garrett and Riley!
