Dreaming of a White Christmas
I think the weathermen didn't realize that the prayers of all the little kids around here were going to be answered. ;) I realize that most people who live anywhere BUT Texas probably wouldn't get this excited over SNOW, but hey...we sure are!

Meet Luke
Back in June, we tearfully (or at least I was in tears) had to give Dixon to a new home in Dallas. He had a strange aggresive streak we just couldn't work out of him, so we found him a place that works with dogs who have been abused in the past. It made me cry and think we were failures at dog parenting. I really didn't know if I ever wanted to get a dog again; I felt like we just gave up on Dixon. Chet really wanted a dog and asked for one several times. We used restraint on many puppies over the last couple months, and were waiting for the "right" one. Well, God blessed us with friends, the Casons, who gave us their very sweet and gentle Golden Retriever puppy. So we are trying the dog parenting thing again, and already love it!! He's melted our hearts.

Summer winding down
We had such a blessed summer and are looking forward to fall. I've loved getting to spend time with Stormy and James Allen's PRECIOUS son, Asher. Babies are such a blessing! :)

Arbonne
This week I have been excited about a new part-time business I just started: Arbonne. (www.arbonne.com)
They offer a range of all-natural, pure and safe skin care, cosmetics, nutrition and weight loss items. I am really excited about helping people achieve and keep beautiful skin without chemicals and harmful ingredients. I've used my Arbonne skin care for about a month, and have already noticed a huge difference. I've actually been able to throw away the MANY bottles of concoctions I've accumulated over the years, because my skin is CLEAR and soft like never before. I literally was using 4 or 5 different things every day to maintain clear skin. Now I'm using only Arbonne and my skin is already smoother and clearer.
One day I will have my very own Arbonne website, but for now I am just spreading the word and handing out product samples. If you are interested, PLEASE call/message me! (325-728-0159) Also, if hosting a party to get your stuff for free interests you, let me know! :)

catching up with summer
So I am probably the most sporadic blogger ever. I knew when I started this thing, without kids and an adventurous lifestyle, I would have VERY little to blog about. Chet and I just simply do not have a life exciting enough to proclaim to the internet world. Infact, I even forgot my password when I tried to log in this morning. lol
Here's a small re-cap of my life this past month or two:
I worked a lot and went to lots of weddings and showers. The end. haha ;)
Here's a picture of Blair's bachelorette party/shower:
We spent 4th of July at Chet's parents' lake house in Colorado City. This is us after a day of swimming and frying in the Texas sun:
Our 6-week summer program with Upward Bound ended Friday. It was so much fun, but a lot of work!! We took the kids to Colorado for the end-of-year trip. I'll post some pics of the trip.
Seven Falls with Stephanie:
The views on the train ride up to Pike's Peak:
Rachael, Steph and me on the cog railway and at the top:
Amazing Garden of the Gods (cameras don't do God's creations any justice at all):
Picture of Rachael, Stephanie and me at Flying W Ranch:
Random photos of our UB group at the Airforce Academy in Colorado Springs and University of Denver and Denver Museum of Nature & Science:
