41 week babbler!

This week has been full of new "words" around here!  Grey's vocabulary has taken off with "yaya", "nana", "dada" and "no" ...and some other sounds she is coming up with.  I have loved listening to her babble all day.

At 41 weeks old:

  • You are talking more than you ever have!  I am sad to say you still don't say "mama" anymore (she did a long time ago...but won't say it these past couple months), but you have added quite a few words to your vocabulary this week.  I was beginning to think you would be a very late talker, but maybe I was wrong? :)
  • You are cracking us up with this "tired old racehorse" sound.  You blow air out of your lips like you are exhausted.  It is so funny and sounds like you've ran ten miles...but you do it all the time.
  • You had to go to the doctor yesterday for a viral infection.  You have run a fever and been grumpy (understandably), but we were told it should be gone within 72 hours!  Yay! :)  (Pictures above taken today, when you didn't feel so good.)
  • You celebrated your first New Year's by sleeping through the year change!  ;)
  • You LOVE your "johnny jump up"!  I can't believe we never got you one of these before now.  It's hands-down your favorite baby "gimmick" in the house.  Finally one of the things that clutters our house, you really like!  One of its warnings reads, "Do not use with a baby who can stand unassisted or flat on his/her feet!"  You can stand by yourself, but we are still letting you jump.  You love it!  (And are still standing!)
Be it known unto you all, and to all the people of Israel, that by the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, whom ye crucified, whom God raised from the dead, even by him doth this man stand here before you whole.  This is the stone which was set at nought of you builders, which is become the head of the corner.  Neither is there salvation in any other:  for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved.  Acts 4:10-12

  1. Grey is SO adorable! I love her little sister outfit! Our Ellie girl has a few little sister outfits too that I can't wait for her to wear when she gets here.
