I have really missed blogging! I have missed documenting all of Grey's sweet little changes and developments. :) This month was truly one of the busiest we have had in a long, long time. It was also filled with many big decisions for us, which made it even more hectic. I am sitting at the computer in hopes that I can recap this month without having my house turned upside down by a 1 year-old. ;)
Easter:
Grey's second Easter was so very special. She absolutely LOVED egg hunting, and although I really don't ever want Easter to be about bunnies and eggs, it was fun to see the JOY in her face. We dyed eggs with our neighbors on Saturday (my first time to dye eggs too!), and had an egg hunt at their house with lots of little kids in the afternoon.
Easter means so much more to me these past few years. I have blogged about my feelings in the past, but I truly cannot help but be emotional all day on Easter. Thank you Jesus for dying an unthinkable death for me. Thank You.
Grey's very first egg!
Church egg hunt - all dolled up! :)
The one and only photo snapped of our family on Easter.
The rest of the month:
Grey's 1 year appointment went great! She was 19 pounds even (20%), 28.25" (40%), and head is 17.4" (40%). I just weighed her last night and she actually only weighed 18 pounds. I think all the running around is making us lose our chubs.
We made a spontaneous Mother/Daughter trip to the Science Spectrum in Lubbock. Grey was enthralled the entire time.
We attempted a good ole cheesy Texas Bluebonnet Photo Shoot with the three amigos. This was the only photo with all three babies "happy".
This was more like how the shoot went down. ;)
My favorite photo of the day. Maybe of the whole month. The boys are totally saying, "Such a Drama Queen! Sheesh!"
Last weekend we decided we needed a family break and headed to the Abilene Zoo! Grey was captivated by the flamingos and loved the giraffes. She had her first "train ride" on the little choo choo train around the zoo.
There are many photos I could post and memories I could document, but I am already noticing my little miss is ready for a morning nap.
Our big DECISION this month has been to put our home on the market and move to Lubbock! Chet and I have prayed about this for quite some time, and doors are opening to move to Lubbock. The move is incredibly bittersweet for more reasons than I can even think of right now. Chet will stay at Weaver/WSI, but we will just relocate to the "big city". We feel as though there are more opportunities for Grey up there, as well as being closer to much of what we need and do each week. (I drive to Lubbock nearly every week.)
Snyder has been the perfect place to call home for our marriage and family. Most of our memories are here, and it holds a precious spot in my heart. This little home means more than just a roof over our heads. I know this is sentimental, but we have spent our entire marriage here, as well as had both our children here. Our friends and church family in Snyder have loved us in a powerful way. Snyder will always be a place I consider "home".
That being said...our sweet little home is for SALE:
Please be in prayer for our family as the next couple months hold changes and decisions.
I hope your April has been filled with blessings!
May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as your trust in him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit. Romans 15:13
