We were SHOCKED to see our "little Bop" is actually on the TALL SIDE for the first time ever. WOW!! Her speech has improved hugely, and she's saying many words. She is also potty trained with tee-tee, and is working on poo-poo (we are going to not push the matter, as she just isn't quite ready for that yet). She is so helpful around the house; she does dishes, makes her bed, puts away laundry, etc. Not bad for a 2 year old! She also can clean up better than Daddy. lol Even though this age is filled with STUBBORNNESS, "do it myself" for every task and extra defiance, I am absolutely loving watching her sweetness and great personality shine through as well. She is honestly the best big sister ever and cares SO much for her "Baby Robits" (her own nickname for Rose). Grey knows most letters of the alphabet, most colors, several shapes and can even draw several letters (G, M, D, O). Her brain never quits and she is constantly searching for a new puzzle to master and task to learn. So many things have changed with Grey - she is even the greatest sleeper as a toddler (woooohoooooo)! She will sleep from 8-6 many nights, and even sleeps through a crying little sister. She's never short on personality with facial expressions and mimics anything anyone does or says. What a joy she is.
Rose's 6 month stats:
25.8" height - 60%
16 lbs. 3 oz. - 50%
17" head - 75%
Rose is super healthy and continues to be our little light. She is eating baby food like a pro, and reaching for anything we eat. She loves to get sips of ice water from sister's sippy cups (germs much?), and wants to be involved in everything Grey is doing. She doesn't let anything get her down for more than a few fusses - truly the happiest person I have ever known. She is trying to scoot with such determination that I laugh. She sticks her tongue out and is incredibly fixated and jibbers to whatever she wants to scoot to. Right now she rolls to get to whatever she wants, but I think scooting/crawling is coming up soon. She still doesn't have a single tooth poking through, though we continue to drool and chew on everything. Bless her heart. These teeth need to make their way SOON. Rose naps twice a day, for about 45 minutes each time. She refuses to fall asleep outside of our arms. I love her snuggly little self ohhh soooo much.
The summer with these two gifts has been amazing. We spend hours outside enjoying the water table, taking walks, creating chalk art, doing somersaults, etc. Even though I sometimes say, "MOMMA WANTS A LUNCH BREAK", I wouldn't change anything about my life right now. Such a privilege to be a stay at home mom.
Therefore let us be grateful for receiving a kingdom that cannot be
shaken, and thus let us offer to God acceptable worship, with reverence
and awe, Hebrews 12:28
