Thank you Tisha (my "mom) for capturing the first moments of Chet with his daughter (first 25 photos courtesy of Shuffield Photography).
I think Chet actually spent more time with Grey in the NICU than I did, because of me being in recovery, talking with doctors and nurses, etc. He spent hours on end holding her - and still does.
From the moment he leaves in the morning until he arrives back home, we miss Daddy. Not a lot of women are blessed enough to have a husband who works long hours (way more than 40) a week, yet is still happy to help out when he gets home. Chet has helped me during the long "night shift" with Grey since the first night home.
The past two weekends I hosted baby showers, which meant Chet was on "Daddy duty". I may have texted 100 times while I was gone, but he had a peaceful, happy, healthy baby for Momma to come home to.
Grey is also Chet's little "mini-me". I am amazed at how much they are alike, even down to attitude and expressions. It makes my heart skip a beat when I see her doing something especially like her Daddy.
We love you Daddy!
