My doc appointment

I had my postpartum appointment yesterday.  It was nice to visit with my doctor again, since she has become a very special person to our family.  I was beginning to miss her and our weekly visits (crazy that I would miss hospitals, doctors, NSTs, and all that, but I do)!

Grey had a bit of a meltdown (poor girl was hungry and our car bottle warmer takes forever) in the office, but that did not hinder Dr. P from holding and loving on her. :)  What a SWEET doctor I have to love our baby (and our son) so much.  The second I walked in her office, I was reminded of my last postpartum appointment.  What a blessing to be on the rejoicing side, and with a baby in my arms!

I have healed perfectly from my c-section so far.  I feel great, and everything looks good.  I did find out that our home scale wasn't lying to me though.  Hmph.  :)  Grey is worth any kind of weight gain in the world though!

We decided to weigh Grey while we were there, since my doctor's scale is much better than ours.  She weighed 6 lbs. 4 oz. with a diaper and clothes on, so we estimated her to weigh 6 lbs. 2 oz.!  Our little "chunk"!

What JOY to see Grey's announcement on the wall of announcements at the office.  This wall was so difficult to see 20 months ago.

...so that you may live a life worthy of the Lord and please him in every way: bearing fruit in every good work, growing in the knowledge of God, being strengthened with all power according to his glorious might so that you may have great endurance and patience, and giving joyful thanks to the Father, who has qualified you to share in the inheritance of his holy people in the the kingdom of light.  For he has rescued us from the dominion of darkness and brought us into the kingdom of the Son he loves, in whom we have redemption, the forgiveness of sins.  Colossians 1:10-14
